Our FAQs

Take a look at some of our FAQ’s for concise answers about our premier UK activity clubs. Centred on movement, development, and nourishment. Our gymnastic classes, ninja classes, holiday camps, and parties prioritise your child’s overall wellbeing. Get the information you need for a seamless experience.

What should my child wear to class?

The correct clothing for training is shorts and t-shirt, leggings and a t-shirt or leotard. Please do not wear anything that is loose fitting. Your child will be participating in bare feet as we do not allow any footwear on the gym floor, however, grippy socks are also allowed.

Please note:

  • Long hair needs to be tied back.
  • No jewelry is permitted – if ears have recently been pierced, they must be covered up with tape or plasters.
  • No food is permitted during our sessions unless for an event or specific training event. In this case, you will be notified that your child will need to bring a snack.
  • Please remember to bring along a drink for your child and label their water bottle with their name.
  • Children are encouraged to visit the bathroom before they start their session.

We highly recommend that your child attend classes in slip-on shoes which they can get on and off easily by themselves. Shoes with velcro are also fine, however, laced shoes may require assistance, so please avoid having them wear those into the sports hall.

Please send your child into class without their coat. During colder months, we recommend coats are taken off before entry into the class.

Please do not send your child in with bags, toys or iPads. All they need are their shoes and a bottle of water.

How does the equipment in community clubs differ from the larger flagship activity clubs? Is the equipment in the community clubs the same as the main club?

Our Community Club classes are designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of beginner gymnastics and ninja*.

The equipment used in class may include balance beams, vaults, bars and other apparatus that can assist in delivering a high-quality experience in discovering gymnastics. The equipment varies according to the Community Club location – please refer to your Community Club gallery (this can be found on the club page).

Our larger purpose-built clubs have a range of equipment used to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced gymnastics. This includes spring flooring, advanced bar equipment, and trampolines that can accommodate more advanced skills.

*Ninja is not yet available across all Community Clubs.

What is the difference between a club and community club?

We call our larger clubs, ‘flagship’ clubs. These purpose-built venues offer Gymnastics, Ninja, Dance and preschool movement classes (please check timetables for available activities) and contain advanced gymnastics equipment, like sprung flooring, vaults, foam pits and more traditional gymnastics apparatus. They can also cater for birthday parties and holiday camps.

We currently have 11 flagship clubs: Bracknell, Bolton, Cambridge (Beehive Centre), Chatham, Farnborough, Maidstone, Milton Keynes, Reading, Wandsworth, Walton-on-Thames and Widnes.

Our Community Clubs are hosted in community spaces such as community halls, leisure centres and school sports halls. These clubs cater for children aged 2 – 12 years and teaches foundational Gymnastics or Ninja skills. You’ll still find these clubs have lots of equipment, but they just aren’t in purpose-built facilities, so the equipment available might differ from our larger clubs.

We currently have 11 community clubs – you can view them here.

How do I select the right class for my child?

We would always recommend your child to sign up to a class appropriate to their age group, and to select a beginner class if it is their first time. The coach can then assess your child’s skillset and level, and let you know if the class is appropriate for them or if there is a class better suited.

If you’re not sure which activity your child will enjoy the most, you can read the comparison between gymnastics and ninja here.

Please only select classes that are the correct age for your child. If you select a class in an older age group, you risk being turned away and your taster session cancelled, as we need to bear in mind the safety of your child. This could also affect their experience of gymnastics or ninja.

Can I change my child’s class?

If your chosen weekly class no longer is convenient for you, you can change your class – you can either do this yourself in your online Parent Area or get in touch at info@gymfinitykids.com.

My child has a disability, can they join Gymfinity Kids?

We try to offer classes to every child. Please email our Member Service team and inform them of any medical conditions, then we will arrange a time with you to discuss this further with the Club Manager, to see how best we can meet your needs.

Great gym for children. Grandson absolutely loves it. However, it could do with cleaning more often! Not very hygienic sadly.

Have my twin nearly four year olds here and its been great for them. Really is helping them get the idea of structured activity and every week they seem really engaged and enthusiastic. At home we see them showing us what they've learned. The coaches are great and the club has a lovely atmosphere.

We started taking our little one to classes when she turned 2 and she looks forward to it every week. She is the littlest in the class but coach Katie has been absolutely brilliant at including her and adapting tasks to help her build confidence. It’s a joy to watch her learn new skills in such a fun and supportive environment.

Our daughter is loving her Ninja classes with Matt. She looks forward to them every week and they learn useful skills. As a parent I quite like that it is something a little different than a 'normal' gymnastics class would offer.

The staff at Cambridge Club are always friendly, professional, and incredibly kind. Our daughter absolutely loves going and looks forward to every session. A special thank you to her coaches Mark and Charlotte, as well as her previous coach Ben and the brilliant Joshua. The whole team has been consistently amazing—supportive, encouraging, and dedicated. Highly recommend!

Great gym! My daughter started in beginner with Zoe on a Thursday and recently moved to Coach Hollie’s intermediate class on a Wednesday where she is progressing loads. Both coaches have been amazing and we are so grateful. Other coaches in the gym have been good too. Thank you to all.

We have two daughters involved with Gymfinity Cambridge and have been so impressed! My eldest started with Emily in a preschool class before she was invited to the development squad with Zoe. Both coaches have been incredible. They have the perfect balance of teaching and perfecting skills ready for competition whilst keeping it a really fun, happy and safe environment. My daughter’s confidence has really grown which is so lovely to see. My two year has Katie for her toddler session and again, it’s been a brilliant experience. Really imaginative and fun and my daughter loves her! A really positive experience all round!

My son has always loved gymnastics and loves coming to his classes at Gymfinity. Coaches have always been supportive and make class fun and most recently supportive of his medical condition. We'd love to see more boys in gymnastics classes rather than just Ninjas - not that he seems to mind - but having some of the male equipment would be good too (rings?).

Our daughter has been attending weekly sessions with Katie for just under a year now and we can see how her balance, focus, big and small motor skills have improved and her overall confidence grew too. in fact it also helped her with settling into a nursery thanks to a positive routine. We adore our coach Katie, she is ambitious, professional and very friendly with our daughter and other kids in the class. Kamila mum

My child goes to pre-school gymnastics at Gymfinity and absolutely loves it, especially his amazing coach Katie. My child was very shy when they first joined but Katie managed to get them out of their shell from the very first session. Their confidence has kept growing ever since thanks to Katie pushing them just the right amount and celebrating their every win. She's kind, fun and knows how to keep the class on track with amazing behaviour management too.

Great trainers, both my kids are very happy to come. Large space with a variety of gymnastics and parkour exercises. Not very clean; more frequent hoovering would be great. Good cafe offering hot and cold drinks and snacks. Very friendly staff.
