We are seeking a dynamic Club Manager to lead our Widnes club, ensuring it meets all performance targets and operational standards. This is a pivotal role, accountable for the club’s marketing, financial management, staffing, and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Working closely with the central membership services team and the wider support functions, the Club Manager will lead local operations, drive business growth, and foster a high-performing, values-driven culture. They serve as the final point of responsibility for all club matters, including staff development and risk management.

- Additional Team: Our team of Coaches
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations Director and Cluster Manger to set performance targets, including EBITDA, and ensure these are consistently achieved.
- Lead the club with a strong presence, promoting a positive culture aligned with organisational values.
- Act as the club’s primary lead on Health & Safety, ensuring full compliance at all times.
- Develop and execute a clear and effective marketing plan tailored to the club.
- Identify and communicate new business opportunities to the Operations Director.
- Manage people-related matters proactively, with support from the People Team.
- Review and approve staff resourcing requests before escalation to the Head of Programmes and People Team.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll-related data, including schedules, timesheets, and Kronos entries.
- Guide and support the Programme Manager, enabling them to manage day-to-day operations effectively in your absence.
- Recruitment and deployment of coaching staff.
- Ensure optimal staffing levels, maintaining the agreed payroll-to-revenue ratio.
- Support the Programme Manager in resolving complex member issues, such as parent complaints.
- Contribute to cross-club and business-wide projects as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience as an Assistant Operations Manager, Programme Manager, or Operations Manager, with hands-on involvement in marketing, finance, and HR.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a desire for continued growth and development.
- Strong alignment with the organisation’s values and a passion for making a difference.

Compensation Package:
- Base Salary: £31,500
- Bonus: Up to 15% of salary (subject to business discretion)
